Half Term at Discovery

The first half of the Autumn term really has flown by, and it’s safe to say that we didn’t quite get the Indian Summer that we had perhaps hoped for. Nevertheless, we’ve still hosted lots of happy surfers for our surf lessons and both after school and weekend Surf Clubs. As the school holidays approach, we thought we would give you a little run down of what to expect from us in the coming weeks. 

A firm favourite among a lot of our young surfers is the discounted week surf course. This October, we are running it from Monday 21st to Friday 25th. The sessions are 09:30 to 11:00 every day. The course costs just £99, and is the perfect opportunity for 8-16 year olds to build on both their confidence and their surfing skills, while having lots of fun with like minded children. There are currently a couple of spots still available, so please contact us to book in.

Surfing isn't just for the children! A few more mature potential surfers have expressed an interest in having a go at surfing too. This has prompted us to create an over 60s waiting list, so when we get a good weather window opportunity we will run a special discounted surf lesson (£19 instead of £29pp). This will present the perfect opportunity to socialise, and profit from the physical and mental health benefits of doing exercise in the sea air. Finally, we just wanted to let you know that the shop in Bigbury-on-Sea will be open for hire, lessons and enquiries every day during the half term. You can expect to see someone down there from about 09:00 to 16:30. Don't forget that down in the shop we have a range of snuggly hoodies and changing robes, both of which are perfect for keeping you toasty after an Autumn surf session.
